patricia homan lynch & a birthday celebration!

With rain pounding the courtyard outside, rainbows of color, light, and love filled the Art Hall for the opening reception of Patricia Homan Lynch’s show, New Landscapes. A feast for the heart and soul, each of Patricia’s oil paintings welcomed one into a three dimensional world of nature glorified.

A lively and engaged group gathered to share in the celebration: new friends and old coming together in this beautiful space for our last show of the academic year. We first acknowledged all the artists, patrons, staff, and volunteers who contributed so much support and time to the Art Hall’s success this year. (Indeed our new permanent hanging system was installed just in time for the show!)

We then introduced Patricia, first thanking her for her collaboration in curating several of the shows. Her keen and innate sense of aesthetics were a blessing. Patricia then shared a Rudolf Steiner verse which hangs as her artist’s statement on the gallery’s west wall. The hushed audience listened to Steiner’s depiction of every color and its qualities, each coming alive as if a revered being in all of Patricia’s works.

Graduating Portland Waldorf High School violinist, Forrest Palamountain, was also on hand to grace the Hall with his beautiful music in honor of Patricia.

If you missed the opening reception you can see the exhibit daily during school hours or contact Robin. Also, please stay in touch for the exciting roster of next year’s shows!
